The woman who had 17 abortions within six years

A very young woman in China was told by the doctors that she may not be able to give birth after having a total of 17 abortions within just six years.

The Shiyan Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital, where the woman had become a regular customer for aborting her pregnancies, made this known.

The 27-year-old woman, Xia Ju, first conceived when she was 21. At that time, she had just started dating her boyfriend, but had no plan of getting married anytime soon.

As the duo continued to have sexual relations for six years, Xio didn't make use of any contraception to avoid pregnancy. She continued to opt for abortions, with doctors saying she aborted an average of three times per year.

So when she conceived for the 17th time, she adopted the method of abortion, as usual. But this time, the doctors warned her not to, that it might become very difficult for her to conceive again in the future if she continues with the abortion.

Despite the doctors' warning, she insisted that the procedure should be carried out on her, saying that she does not have 

The doctors were, however, left with no choice but to grant the patient's wish.

The doctors said they found out that her uterus lining is "critically thin, like paper a piece of paper, due to the repeated abortion she had had."
