Kwara records 2 more cases of coronavirus


Two people have tested positive for coronavirus in Kwara State, according to the Kwara State Government. This add up to a total of four active cases in the state.

This was disclosed by the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, on his Twitter page on Sunday. The tweet reads:

"I regret to announce that we have two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Kwara state. This brings the total number of active cases in our state to four. We will continue to intensify our efforts to trace and test suspected cases."

"All hands must be on deck to flatten the curve of transmission in our state. Do your part: maintain personal hygiene, stay at home, and keep social distancing.
May God protect us all. #TakeResponsbility #CollectiveHealth."

A report released by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) shows that, as of 12th April, a total of 33 tests were conducted in Kwara. Only 29 turned out negative.
