Chad claims its army has killed 1000 Boko Haramists


The Chadian government has claimed that Chadian army has killed about 1000 Boko Haram terrorists in a recent successful raid on the terrorists' base in Lake Chad.

This statement was made by a Chadian army spokesman, Col. Azem Bermandoa, late Thursday. Bermandoa said 52 Chadian soldiers were killed and 176 others sustained injuries during the fight.

The successful raid on the terrorist cleared the island surrounded by Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger and Chad.

The UN Refugee Agency reports says the Boko Haram insurgency has displaced millions about 2.6 million people around the Lake Chad region.
