US woman in Germany "deliberately" spreads COVID-19 at a bar

Even though a person is to self-isolate while awaiting COVID-19 test results, an American woman in Germany defied that guideline and went on to infect dozens and exposed hundreds more to the virus at a local pub.

German contact tracers, on Thursday,  tracked down the photo of the woman,  known as Yasmin A— a 26-year-old civilian employee of the US armed forces in the Upper Bavarian market town.

According to reports, Yasmin was experiencing a sore throat after she returned from a holiday trip to Greece.

She went for testing and while awaiting the test results, she went partying with friends at a bar.

Local authorities now say 23 people at that bar have tested positive to the virus  and at least 800 more people have been exposed.

Meanwhile, Yasmin could face a severe punishment for exposing others to the virus.  The Munich public prosecutor,Staatsanwaltschaft München, has launched an investigation for "negligent body harm."
If this investigation is concluded and she is charged, she could be jailed for up to six  months to 10 years.
