Wealthy Russians use "ambulance taxis" to escape traffic

Ambulance taxis in Russia

With money, you can have and do just about anything you want to.

In order not to go through the burden of being stuck in traffic, mega wealthy Russians transport themselves in what is known as "ambulance taxis."

These ambulance taxis are just like the regular ambulance vehicles on the outside, but cleverly fitted with luxurious and fancy interiors on the inside.

These ambulance taxis can't be easily recognised. They scatter traffic jams with their blazing sirens and transport VIP passengers to their destinations very quickly.

Nevertheless, posing as an emergency vehicle is very illegal in Russia or any part of the world, for that matter.

One of these ambulance taxis were identified in a patrol by Russian authorities in 2013 after it broke traffic rules.

The driver wasn't resembling an ambulance driver, and when officers opened the ambulance, it carried a passenger and the interior looked like a limousine with comfortable seats for transporting VIPs.

These ambulance taxis are said to charge as high as $200 per hour. That's a lot of money!

I can't even imagine this happening in my country, Nigeria, because whether it's an ambulance or not, if you get stuck in traffic you just have to bear it.
