The US President Donald Trump has said that Kanye West's 2020 presidential ambition is "very interesting".
In an interview with RealClearPolitics, Trump reacted to West's presidential ambition, saying his declaration came late and would be difficult for him to get on the ballot in several states.
"If he did it, he would have to view this as a trial run for what's going to happen in four years," Trump said in an interview.
West declared his intention to run on Twitter and was immediately endorsed by the CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk.
"We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States. #2020VISION," West said in a tweet.
Elon Musk then replied, saying "You have my full support."
The billionaire rapper has been widely criticized, after he declared his support for President Trump and paid a visit to the White House in 2018.
But recently, West has said that he had lost confidence in the president over his handling of the COVID19 pandemic and his response to racial injustice and police brutality.
