A newly elected Israeli lawmaker Gadi Yevarkan kissed his mother 's feet to show appreciation that she showed upon taking the oath of office as a member of the 21st Knesset(Assembly). He then hugged his mother afterwards.
Here is what he wrote on his official Facebook page:
"Iswore allegiance today to the state of Israel, as a Knesset member and to serve the people of Israel faithfully."
He also added:
"I was moved today to see my mother at the Knesset and for me it's a coming full circle."
"Words can't describe her nobility. The least I could do was to kiss her feet and bless her: Happy holiday, Mom."
His party, Blue and White is a newly formed, it was created earlier this year with the aim of defeating the incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
