Love is a choice: 65-year-old marries 24-year-old adopted son

A 24-year-old man walked his 65-year-old bride down the aisle on Thursday in Indonesia.

The 41 years age gap between the couple has not only got people talking, but also the close family  relationship between them.

The unusual truth is that the 65-year-old grandma actually married her adopted son after he accepted her proposal.

"I didn't have any intentions to marry him initially. I only told him that he should get married soon, as my three adopted daughters are also married too. To my surprise, he said yes," she said to Kompass, an Indonesian publication.

The groom, who was adopted by the grandma last year, paid $7 (100,000 Indonesian Rupees) for her bride price.
