Trump uses face mask for the first time since the pandemic started

July 11th, 2020, is the first time the US President Donald Trump will be publicly seen using a face mask ever since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out in February.

Trump had caused a controversy back in May when he refused to wear a mask during a visit to a Ford auto factory in Michigan. He refused to be photographed and claimed that he had mask on before. He had said wearing a face mask would make him look weak.

But today, Trump wore a Navy Blue face mask with an imprinted presidential seal while paying a visit to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington to meet wounded service members and fontline health care workers.

Trump told reporters before exiting the White House that "when you are in a hospital, I think it is expected to wear a face mask."

While he was inside the hospital he was seen with his face mask on, but was seen without it when he left the hospital.
