Developing coronavirus vaccine before 2021 is nearly impossible- expert says

coronavirus vaccine update

An Europeon expert, Pasi Penttinen, has said that the coronavirus vaccine will not be ready until late 2021.

Pentinnen, who is the head of Europeon Centre for Disease Control, said in an interview with Sky News that getting a vaccine within a two-year timeline is nearly impossible.

He claimed that developing the vaccine before the end of next year would even be a miracle, adding that developing a vaccine takes time and costs the government a lot of money.

"Vaccine development is a hugely complicated and expensive process, you need to go through human trials in phases one, two and three to make sure the vaccines are effective and safe."

"And on top of that you need to make sure in that kind of situation that manufacturing capacity is essentially sufficient for the whole world, so having a one year, two year timeline to get that done is nothing short of a miracle."
COVID-19 is ravaging almost all of the countries around the world. As of now, there are 3,116,992 active cases, 928,930 and 217,138 deaths.
